Who We Are

This website is operated by Red Foundations Publishing, the imprint of P.J. Cereste, author of Red Foundations and the Red Foundations Universe. The site exists to share information about the books, connect with readers, and deliver the free Mars Colony Handbook to newsletter subscribers.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit.

Newsletter signup: If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your first name and email address. This is the only personal information you are asked to provide.
Site analytics: When you visit the site, analytics tools collect non-personal information such as which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, what device and browser you used, and your general geographic region. This does not identify you by name.
Cookies: Analytics and advertising tools place small files called cookies on your device to track aggregate site performance and, if applicable, ad campaign results. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Email Newsletter — MailerLite

We use MailerLite to manage the newsletter and deliver the Mars Colony Handbook. When you sign up, your name and email address are stored in MailerLite's systems. MailerLite is GDPR-compliant and does not sell subscriber data.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Once unsubscribed, you will receive no further messages.

Analytics — Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized data including pages visited, session duration, device type, and referral source. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.

Advertising Measurement — Meta Pixel

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a measurement tool provided by Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to understand whether visitors who see our ads on those platforms take actions on the site such as signing up for the newsletter. The Pixel does not give us access to your Facebook or Instagram account. It operates through an anonymous cookie.

Opt out of Meta measurement: Adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook account settings.

Data Retention

Newsletter subscriber records are retained for as long as the subscription is active. If you unsubscribe, your record is removed from active lists. You may request full deletion at any time by contacting us directly.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without clear notice.
